Kids' Club/Summer Camp

The primary focus of Kids’ Club is to provide onsite quality supervised care for St. Philomena School students whose parents need before and after school care. A variety of activities are provided for the students who attend Kids’ Club. Students in grades 4-8 are also given a structured study time to complete school assignments. Kids’ Club is located in the parish office building located beside the school.

Kids’ Club operates from 6:30 AM to 8:05 AM and from 3:05 PM (2:05 PM on Mondays) to 6:00 PM. Kids’ Club is open Monday through Friday when school is in session and is also open during school in-services, parent-teacher conferences and additional times throughout the year when school is closed. Kids’ Club is not open during any federal holidays.

The Kids’ Club staff has their Safe Environment training and adhere to yearly training updates, CPR and First Aid training and are under direct supervision of the Kids’ Club director and the school principal.

All students attending Kids’ Club must be signed-in and signed-out by a parent or an approved family member. Kids’ Club is an option open to students in PreK through 8th grade at St. Philomena School. St. Philomena School discipline policies and rules apply to any student attending Kids’ Club.

Fees for Kids’ Club 2018-2019

Mornings (6:30 AM to 8:05 AM) $5.00 per day

Afternoons (2:00 PM - 6:00PM Mondays & 3 PM - 6 PM Tuesdays through Fridays) $8.00 per day

Please send an after school snack with your student each day. A water cooler is provided for drinks.

Noon Dismissal Days (Noon to 3:05 PM) - $10.00 per day

(Noon to 6:00 PM) - $20.00 per day

Full Day- When school is not in session (6:30 AM-6:00 PM) $30.00 per day

Late Fees $1.50 per student per minute after 6:00 PM.

School is Dismissed at 2:00 PM Mondays and 3:05 PM Tuesdays through Fridays

Students in grades PreK through 8 will be sent to Kids’ Club at 2:10 PM on Mondays, 3:15 PM Tuesdays through Fridays, if not picked up at carpool. A full afternoon charge (8.00) will be assessed.

Billing

Kids’ Club will bill on a monthly basis. All bills are due within 5 days of receipt. After 5 days, students may not attend the program until account is paid in full.

Miss Angie has been a parent and/or an employee at St. Philomena for over 20 years. She and her husband, Gabby, sent their four children to St. Phil’s and has three grandchildren at St. Phil's. When Miss Angie isn’t busy helping everyone in the school she loves to read, get together with her prayer group, and spend time with her big family.

Summer Camp 2018

We will be running the St. Philomena School Summer Camp this year, starting on Monday June 18th. It will be a nine week program.Summer Camp will be available Monday-Friday from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM. Each week has a theme that will include games, morning and afternoon snacks, crafts, fields trips and other fun activities! Some weeks will have two field trips - one for all campers and one for grades 4th and up!

Themes this year include:

June 18-22 “Welcome to Camp” – Field Trip: Incredibles 2

June 25-29 “Color Wars” – Vacation Bible School – No Field Trip

July 2-6 (No Camp on July 4th) “Party in the USA” – Field Trip: Super Jump Party Zone

July 9-13 “Game On” – Field Trip: Waterland Arcade / Field Trip: Family Fun Center (4th & up)

July 16-20 “Under the Sea” – Field Trip: Seattle Aquarium / Field Trip: Henry Moses A.C. (4th & up)

July 23-27 “Sports” – Field Trip: Bowling / Field Trip: Mariners Game (4th & up)

July 30-Aug 3 “Fun in the Sun” – Field Trip: White Cap Frozen Yogurt

Aug. 6-10 “Summer Safari” – Field Trip: Woodland Park Zoo / Field Trip: Laser Quest (4th & up)

Aug. 13-17 “Summer Camp Carnival” – No Field Trip – Magician coming to Camp!

* Summer Camp is open to incoming Pre-K (4 year old) through 8th grade for all St. Philomena School and Parish students.

* Payments are due on a weekly basis with all payments collected by August 17th. Non-field Trip Weeks ($160.00), One Field Trip Weeks ($190.00), Two Field Trip Weeks ($210.00). Forms are available on the website and will be going home in next week’s Wednesday’s newsletter.
