In a White House ceremony yesterday, Pacific Science Center received the National Medal for Museum and Library Service. Presented by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the National Medal is the nation's highest honor conferred on museums and libraries for service to the community and celebrates institutions that make a difference for individuals, families, and communities. Pacific Science Center President and CEO R. Bryce Seidl; Christopher Ackerley, member of the Board of Directors; and community member and former Discovery Corps volunteer Andrea Nichols were on hand to accept the National Medal. They are pictured here with Susan Hildreth, Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Learn more about this tremendous honor at http://www.imls.gov/medals.
