Summer Camp 2020

TIME: 7:00AM - 5:00PM
DATE: 7/06/20 - 8/14/20

Summer Camp 2020 will start on Monday, July 6th. Miss Angie Gudjonson will be the summer school director. Summer camp hours will be from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Parents will have to physically sign in their students. Students will have to go through safety precautions which will include a temperature check, hands sanitized and shoe wash. Students are only allowed to be signed in between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. No student will be allowed to be signed in after 8:30 AM. Any student with a fever or other symptoms such as chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea will not be admitted. Any child who gets sick during the day will have to be isolated and then immediately be picked up. We are asking students to wear masks, but we understand at times during the day such as water play masks just won’t be feasible. All employees will be wearing masks. Each student will be assigned their own personal cubby which they will use to store any of their personal items, such as an art box, a gallon sized bag of their personal toys, water bottles and snacks. Each student will bring their own lunch. We will be providing individually packaged snacks at times such as popsicles, juice boxes, etc. Miss Gudjonson is creating a schedule that will include as much outdoor time as possible. Students will be able to participate in activities in small groups such as tetherball and then we will sanitize the equipment before the next group of students are able to play. There will be individual craft time and other activities. There will also be some academic time for students to work on their summer reading or other academic responsibilities. We are able to provide childcare for 35 to 40 students. We will be putting out a survey to parents and those who need childcare on a daily basis will get first preference. There will be no drop ins allowed. Parents who will need summer childcare and are not on the daily list will need to text Summer Camp the night before by 7:00 PM so that Miss Gudjonson knows exactly how many children will be there and that she has adequate staffing. We need to make sure we have enough staff to help with the constant cleaning and sanitizing. The cost will be $35.00 a day. I am sure there are some details I am missing at this point, I will continue to keep you updated.
