No in-person school on Jan. 3rd & 4th

Other Covid information

TIME: 4:00pm
DATE: 1/03/22

There will be no in-person school or Kids' Club on Monday, Jan. 3rd and Tuesday, Jan. 4th. Over Christmas vacation several of our staff members tested positive for Covid or have had a Covid exposure and are waiting on test results. I don't have enough staff coverage and I need to err on the side of caution so we do not create a huge Covid occurrence at school. The faculty and staff have been informed and are working on either putting together virtual lessons or asynchronous opportunities for Monday and Tuesday. Just to let you know that Wednesday is not an absolute return date as I need to make sure everyone is safe to come back. I will keep you posted.

On another note if you have traveled outside the area or outside of the state, please make sure you follow guidelines before your child returns to school. You need to make sure you have a negative Covid test. If your child or anyone in your family is experiencing any Covid symptoms please keep them home and get tested.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to maneuver through the issues that we continue to face with the resurgent of Covid cases. As a reminder all students must wear masks while at school. Please make sure your child comes to school wearing their masks and has it on as they exit the car in the morning. If your child is exhibiting any symptoms, please keep them home. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose,, Nausea or vomiting and/or Diarrhea. If there are any symptoms present please make sure your child has a negative Covid test before they come back to school.
