Administrative Staff
Dr. Steve Morissette - Principal

Welcome to St. Philomena School. I am very excited to be the principal of this amazing school. I have been at St. Phil's since July 2010. I am originally from Holyoke, Massachusetts. I attended Holyoke Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Westfield State College in Westfield, MA. I have been living in Washington since 1990. I started my teaching career at St. Vincent de Paul School in Federal Way, WA. I earned a Master's in Administration Education from Pacific Lutheran University in 1994 and became Vice-Principal at St. Vincent's in 1995. My first principal job was in 1998 at Holy Family School in White Center, WA. It was a wonderful experience and really help me develop a great foundation for my administrative skills. I was at Holy Family for seven years. In 2005, I became principal at All Saint's School in Puyallup and Fife, WA. Both my sons graduated from All Saints. I spent five years at All Saints and made some life-long friends. I earned a Doctorate in EdD Leadership in August 2014.
I live in Fife, WA with my cat Brooklyn. I have two sons, Sam who is married to his wife Ashley and works at St. Phil's. My other son Austin, graduated from WSU in May 2018, is a civil engineer in Vancouver, WA and is engaged to his fiancée, Natasha and will be married in June of 2023. I am a huge sports fan and love the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins, the Boston Celtics and the Seattle Sounders. I am also a huge Tom Brady fan. I love all types of music, love to read and love walking.
